Retirees have been coming to Florida for 100 years, so that is nothing new, and since NYC is a global financial hub, and the home countless corporate HQs who require skilled labor, then why do yo suggest only the homeless move to NYC? Seems pretty dishonest. Young professionals move there for high paying jobs.

Here in Florida we have a saying "the scum settles on the bottom" to explain why so many homeless from other States come here. Its warm here all year round. Why would they go to NYC?

I suppose a gain of 161,684 is a massive decline in your book.

The mind of a Trump apologist is a mysterious place.

Have a nice day.

You're wrong. Year over year population stats show a decline that started during the Obama Admin.

If NY is gaining people, why the worry of losing a couple of Congressional seats ? I thought that only happens with the population goes down ? Just curious.

Drug usage is a huge scourge across the nation. Blaming it on one party or another doesn't seem to make sense though. Neither one has been able to do anything about it. Just curious how the GOP caused it though.

So, you can blame "liberal" policies for problems in US cities, and then declare them failures. That is the theme here.

Lets look at it from the other side. If there is something bad, there is usually something good, and it turns out these failed cities generate 85% of US economic output.

Say WHAT?!? You complain about policies that generate 85% of US output? Rural folks are bragging about generating 15% and whining about issues in areas which generate 85%. Truly I say to you, - the mind of a Trump apologist is a mysterious place......

Pseudo-conservatives, please stop biting the hand that feeds you Cities generate enough money for farm subsidies and other handouts for our rural friends

Today, large US cities have more weight in the US economy than do large cities in any other major region. In 2010, 259 large US cities generated almost 85 percent of US GDP

Poor people, homeless people, criminals ALL move to where the climate is good, the economy is good, where there is more people and jobs.

ALL those CHOOSE to move to Democratic cities... because life is better for them there, then in Republican controlled cities.

All the successful Democratic controlled cities attract people from poor Republican run areas...

All this and you pay a PREMIUM to live there while whatever positives they have are overrated.
OK, I guess you got it all figured out! LOL

And many of these large cities have the largest economical divide. One of the many issues that leftists complain about.

Even been to Miami? If you go, look under the bridges. Yeah, the mayor is Republican, but we are not partisan enough to blame him for the homeless drifting in.

Yep, plenty of homeless in GOP ran Florida. They really don't give a rip about which party is in control, ans probably don't even know, they just need warm weather and a bridge to sleep under.
