I'm torn. I realize that any vote for a 3rd party is really a vote for Trump or Biden anyway, it's just a protest vote.

In my opinion Trump has no business being POTUS and is not a real leader. This goes beyond party. I don't think he's loyal to any party, just to himself and stoking his ego.
So we get either 4 more years of no leadership from a man stoking his ego on the world stage while the rest of us cringe and hope that the system of checks and balances of a 3 branch government hold together or we get someone who represents the side that is canceling freedom of speech, erasing history, defunding the police and apologizing or enabling anarchists.

Before the last couple of months, I just wanted Trump out. Now I'm not so sure I'm ready for dems to take power as they are now.

If you are right about Biden, I would vote for him while I still reject the radical left side of the party.
I just have a hard time imagining that the party that has engendered, enabled and apologized for the madness of the radical left will do much to reign it in.
I have no idea how anyone can think Biden is some radical. He's about as old-school Democrat as you can get these days.

Lot's of things were not created by popular vote. That still does not mean that a mob armed with chains, ropes and hammers gets to decide for the rest of us whether or not we should have them or not.
You are advocating or apologizing for anarchy.

I'm not concerned with the safety of inanimate objects. I happen to like living in a society where a mob armed with chains, hammers and ropes doesn't get to decide how the rest of us should live by brute force and threat of violence. It's the principle of it. I'm not particularly attracted to statues, I just really don't like the idea of a mob deciding if we should have them or not. Along the same line, I'm not fond of the left attacking freedom of speech and ideas or diversity of OPINIONS that are not sanctioned by the left.
I'm a little sick of the intolerance the left has for anything it disapproves of.

Are you also seriously going to make an equivalence to tearing down a statue of a dictator in a foreign country to what the left is doing in our country?

The thing that kinda sucks is that all of this is pretty much forcing me to vote for Trump, a guy I never liked in my entire life. If that's what it takes to avoid a Marxist takeover while Joe Biden sleeps through his four year term, I feel like I have no choice.

I thought that the centrist Democrats would stand fast and refuse to let the Marxist take over their party. You actually saw some hints of that when Pelosi dropped the hammer on AOC and her fellow Communists. Then Pelosi and the entire party, Hollyweird, the News Media, just about ever big corporation out there -- they all just folded like lawn-chairs, knelt down and swore allegiance to these little psychotic bastards.

Do you have any proof to back up this assertion about right-wing groups instigating violence at protests?

It happened outside the US too: https://www.cnn.com/2020/06/13/europ...ntl/index.html

I have no idea if you're going to accept any of these sources. I tried to find a mix of them, but there are a lot more. There are also plenty of Youtube videos showing random white guys smashing things and others trying to stop them, as well as interviews with some of the members of right-wing groups talking about what they're doing.

Now, I'm not saying all the violence was from them, but it definitely seems to have been a factor in escalating the situation in many cities. You also are just going to have an element of people who take advantage of this type of situation who are not necessarily associated with the protests at all.

Which I guess is why they have used it successfully in other countries before Trump started touting it.
I can also guarantee you that if for whatever reason, Trump hated Hydoroxycholoquine, liberals would be mainlining it on live TV and raving about it. It was all political. People likely have died that could have been helped with this.

Do you really think that the current Democrat party has nothing to do with the things listed in the first post? With defunding and abolishing the police, with getting rid of historical monuments, with being inconsistent about people spreading the coronavirus when it comes to the protests/riots, with what we're calling "cancel culture?"

If so then let me get all Jerry Seinfeld on you and ask: "Who aaaaarrrrrrre these people?" Are they some underground group holding meetings in a basement, demanding the secret password to be allowed entrance? It sure doesn't seem that way to me. A lot of the mainstream media is behind them 100%, I'll tell you that.

Biden is just a puppet for the ever increasingly radical Democratic Party, where unhinged leftism is now their guiding philosophy, no longer on the fringe.
Assuming that nitwit Joe gets elected, and I believe he will, his tenure as POTUS won't be long, to be replaced by a committed left wing VP.
Also assuming Democrat control of congress, we are then going down the slippery slope to a one party state, where no dissenting opinions will be allowed and Democrat orthodoxy rigidly enforced.
Object?, you are a "raaayycisssit" & a "fascist" and a "right winger".
This country won't survive in it's current state.
