Doesn't matter what you think.

Diversity as a condition or environment isn't going to go away, despite your flapping of your gums or what Stephen Miller wants to do. As you've so alarmingly have said so far, your state, city and county isn't getting more "white".

You can either deal productively and civility with people who don't look like you - they're not going away - or you can be bitter or throw more fuel to the fire - as what you seem to be doing. Your choice.

Anyway, to get back to the subject - I'd think that Asheville's actions will do more good than harm. Your bitterness and petty rants will have no effect on the matter, as it is a local issue. So there!

As to reparations, the leftists have been pushing this agenda for years now.. eventually someone will cave in and looks like its happening. Happening in more than one state.

Like BLM, this reparation is just a declaration. A slogan with no substance. No money will ever be handed over in Asheville. But today we live in a time of hollow declarations so it’s probably good enough for them.

When speaking about reparations, three fundamental questions are not addressed by those in favor:
1) Who is going to pay?
2) How much?
3) Who exactly will be on the receiving side?

Preferring to keep things at slogan level, they dodge practical issues as much as they can.

Yep - look at all the pettiness towards our black citizens on display here . Same kind of mentality that Southern politicians had when they put in carveouts on Social Security eligibility to exclude farm workers and domestic helpers back in the 1930s because African Americans were disproportionately represented here. Or how black veterans were excluded from GI Bill benefits or VA loans.

Keep showing who ya'll really are here.

"pettiness"?

A nationwide extortion campaign to obtain money from one group of citizens without any legal judgement against them?

IF there was a national reparations financial payment plan, it would precipitate a civil war. It's as simple as that. No citizen in their right mind (even libs) would jeopardize their financial security or that of their children through a race bating shakedown like reparations.

Would you expect the nation to stand idly by and allow that to occur without question or opposition? Unlike liberals, the balance of the nation is not insane and are not intimidated by these accusations of "racism" and paying blacks huge amounts of money to compensate for their poor culture.

And here is the irony of it. Asheville is a relatively small city. It's also located in the part of North Carolina which has relatively few Blacks (and I say relatively). The Appalachian part of North Carolina wasn't a big slave region, but the eastern part of North Carolina was a big slavery region.

And yet you see the usual suspects flipping out and losing their minds about a local company doing something that is useful and practical, and helpful to the local African American community.

Giving away other people's money against their will.

Perhaps if this is such a great idea, on the next income tax cycle, libs can have a "check off" to pay double federal taxes for reparations. A problem, of course, is that many of those advocating this redistribution of wealth and income don't pay or file taxes.

It's a win-win. Liberals get to achieve reparations and assuage their "white priviledge" and the rest of us can be left alone.

Can verfify that eastern NC was a big slavery region in the tobacco fields.

But whats going on in Asheville isnt what this is really about.

Asheville is the most liberal city( ever since it tried to start being the San Francisco of the East years ago as I previously said) in the Carolinas. They are obviously just trying to vote harvest from the plantation and push forward a dumb agenda.
