If you figure that healthy kids are in a category that have very few serious cases when infected, and that children will be the most likely to catch Covid 19 just by not washing their hands and not social distancing and constantly touching their faces probably even more with masks on if they even wear them, it makes sense to send them back.
With an overall fatality rate of something less than 1/4 of 1%, with elderly and physically compromised people being the majority of those that die( over 1% anyway) lockdowns of schools make even less sense than lockdowns of small businesses.
More right wing logic! Yes, send the children back to school so they will come home and spread the virus to the family. Real smart! More stupidity from the stupid party. They don’t believe in science who are you trying to kid?
Looks like most districts are offering a choice between in class or online. At the very least it appears 1/3 are choosing online. (no official stats, just my online reading). So, in class size would be greatly reduced anyway. I'm really starting to lean towards in class instruction for those parents that want it. Around here, private and religious schools aren't missing a beat. So, as usual, public school kids are going to be the ones to suffer. This is really a tricky situation and I've said before I'd be homeschooling for non virus reasons. But, let some go back if they wish. As far as teachers go, we aren't keeping our grocery store clerks home, are we? Let the old or sick ones do the online classes. Everyone else is working in some shape or form.
