Yes, and I totally respect your input and advice.
As I stated, Covid is not a hoax, and, sadly, 175,000+ deaths are evidence of that.
Congratulations on your retirement, Doctor.
175000 deaths is evidence only of 175 deaths that someone has claimed are due to covid. At this moment we have no way of verifying that.
But, if at the end of the year total deaths turn out to be 200K over the normal amount... then then we will have good evidence.
As was posted on the first page, this hurts the reopening it doesn’t help it. If you’re only testing sick people you’re going to get a very high rate of positivity. That high rate will then be used in as an excuse to keep everything shut down.
I personally think testing everyone is a huge waste of time, but this is a bad news scenario for those of us who want businesses and schools open.
I’m going to revise my position here. Friends and acquaintances have been posting an article about 9000 positive cases in Florida since school opened. They’re using that as an excuse for why New Jersey should not open its schools, but what that news report fails to show is that the number of cases is actually down from prior weeks, and that many of the children tested are asymptomatic. As of now scientists are still saying that asymptomatic transmission is rare.
We can’t equate 9000 cases to there being a danger when school opens. If less testing means we can cut down on this kind of BS, then I’m going to change my mind and say it’s a good thing.

But not until.
The thing for everyone to understand is anything and everything is being included in Covid deaths. Real deaths from Covid are not as high. We will probably never know what the true number is.

That 175k is deaths "with" Covid, not "because of" Covid.
And in some places, they are throwing in deaths "suspected" to be of Covid.

Unfortunately the way the system is set up is once you are entered into the system as Covid positive, you never come out. If you die of anything, even unrelated to Covid, you will be recorded as a Covid death, because you are in the system as Covid positive and you died. Then there are all the ones where you aren't in the system, but they assume you had it when you died.

1. Did you see the excessive deaths link I posted above?
2. Also, there was more than likely under-counting in the severely hit places in March/April time frame due to the totally botched testing by the federal government.
