Trump made millions on a tv show.. is a go getter. Gets results too. Gives his presidential paycheck away.. got anything else that is so fake it is laughable?
What’s laughable is that fact that you conservatives can’t admit your mistakes about Trump, not publicly anyhow. Trump lavish lifestyle costs money, money that he doesn’t have.
So what? Good for Trump. He essentially boasted that he’s paid little federal income taxes in the 2016 debates as an example of him being smart. Of course, if I’m Trump, I’d also point out that I’ve paid tens of millions in property taxes, etc.
Property taxes are just another business expense, along with licensing, fees, and similar costs. Part of the overhead.
The purpose of going in to business is to make income for yourself and your family. It's done by paying the overhead so as to allow the business to continue, then taking home what's left for yourself.
Anyone who's bringing home a million dollars a year should expect to pay about 28% of that to the tax man. That would still leave the person keeping about $730,000 a year.
$700 paid in taxes means Trump is either cheating the tax man or he's broke.
Why does he need to prove false reporting by the NYT?
Because there is an election in 36 days, and this will be the top story across the media for a week unless he can squelch it. I would think those are two fine reasons.
What do you mean by "dirt?" I'm STILL voting for Trump, one the best presidents in US history! All you rich Democrats shouldn't be jealous or envious that he has better accountants and lawyers than you!
The poor and working classes tend to vote Democratic.
"with just 36 percent of individuals earning more than $200,000 per year supporting Democrats."
Republicans are the wealthy ones, that's why they love those tax cuts.
Trump voters are largely not low income working class.
"Many polls showed that Trump supporters were mostly affluent Republicans. For example, a March 2016 NBC survey
showed that only a third of Trump supporters had household incomes at or below the national median of about $50,000. Another third made $50,000 to $100,000, and another third made $100,000 or more. If being working class means being in the bottom half of the income distribution, the vast majority of Trump supporters during the primaries were not working class."

...or both--tax evasion AND he's broke.
