Anyone who disliked Rush probably couldn't tell you the time he was on his air. Rush was an educator and very difficult to disagree with because he was right 99.6% of the time. The only people whk say the disliked him are the ones who never listened to him before.

I once went out to dinner with a leftist, and she insisted on sitting in the area that wasn’t open. She raised a ruckus, and they relented. That meant the waiter had to go out of his way to serve us. The entire meal, she was railing against how Republicans don’t want to help the working poor (knowing I’m Republican....these leftists can’t help themselves), and that we need to provide more for them - increase minimum wage, increase food stamps, raise the cap under which working poor qualify for subsidized housing, etc.)

Then the bill came. We had the same thing, and the tip (which I calculate on 20%) came to $4.40, and I said that I was going to round it up to $5 since he had to do extra to serve us. She said, rather haughtily, “why should I do that? He gets 15%.” She then whipped out a calculation card (a lawyer, so smart...earning well into the six figures, twice my earnings at the time) and said that 15% is $3.30. And that’s what she gave. She couldn’t even round up 70 lousy cents to make it $4.

Liberals are such hypocrites.

It's not just OPM...liberals want laws restricting everyone's rights so they don't feel like they are missing out. Many of them are actually jealous when they see people out without masks and I do bring up the fact they tend to travel a lot and have a large carbon footprint even though they talk big about carbon emissions...so they want to reduce carbon yet themselves visit 5 different countries every year.... They have this sort of collective hive mind mentality where theyd rather force everyone else to stop having fun also so they don't feel left out.

All donations are a tax write off. So what? Do you understand how the charitable deduction works?

You know you don't get $100K off your taxes for a $100k donation, right?

You just don't pay income taxes on the $100k that you donated. So you save, maybe $40k in taxes, but you are still minus the other $60K.

And as was mentioned, he never patted himself on the back. It was an anonymous donation.

First, he didn’t exactly pat himself on the back. Second, that was ONE donation. He gave away millions, including $2 million to the Tunnel to Tower project and at least another $1 million to a camp for poor urban children.

That’s a heap better than the rich Clinton’s, who wrote off their used underwear.

They have less guilt.

Umm, I think this is clearly incorrect, on many levels.

Republicans always seem to have these Dem friends/acquaintances that are awful people.

So convenient.

It's a preposterous statement. Liberals feel guilt over everything. Even things that took place centuries ago that they had nothing to do with.
