I don't get it America spent 240 years breeding black men to be the biggest, meanest, baddest man on earth and now you are complaining that black men are the biggest baddest meanest man on earth.

Just because someone picks a tough bodyguard or overseer doesn't mean they bred them and to fight authority. How is an overseer suppose to control a bunch of people purposely bred to be as tough as him?

He was tougher , smarter, and the most likely slave to start a revolt so that slave was rewarded by directing his abilities to keep the plantation operational. This is old scholarship some one wrote a doctoral dissertation on it in the 70's. Most of this is from primary sources. The driver's son usually was in line for the job. So yes they were bred.
