The case for masks and social distancing after vaccinations is that there are variants of the virus possible that the vaccines and prior infection provide no immunity for. Scientists say COVID-19 will be endemic and there will be endless variants of COVID-19. At any time, a new variant can pop up and quickly spread.

Thus our options are to get rid of masks and distancing now because there will always be covid spreading or to keep these measures in place permanently to protect against all future variants.

There has to be spread in order for it to mutate into a new strain. If we can shut it down with widespread vaccine adoption there won’t be endless future variants.

Team mask has been wrong about everything. Sorry you've done it to yourselves

The only measurable thing these so-called "variants" have done, is make a bunch of nervous nellies nibble their nails even harder. They're good for harrowing headlines, but cases in the U.S. just keep dropping.

Seems like we've seen these nonsensical arguments before. Ignoring the problem won't make it go away.

If enough people get vaccinated to achieve herd immunity from the original COVID19 virus, perhaps then we can get rid or masks and social distancing?!

...ya think?...you're still taking off your shoes and getting molested by some TSA employee with a GED to board a plane, 20 years later...

Liberals will say we have to wear masks for the rest of our lives. No thanks!
