Oh really? Shouldn't you be worried about how your listed city of San Diego is turning into an utter hellhole because of how you vote? San Diego is fast becoming Portland, San Francisco, etc.

If it's such a hellhole why do so many people move here that there isn't enough housing for all of them?

Uh huh.

Divorce and secession.

Over politics.

Nah. That’s a stupid reason.

Cable pseudo-news needs to disappear, and people need to get a hobby if THAT is the reason people want to do this. We fought a civil war after secession which was STILL dumb and shameful, and that was when there was an actually good reason to separate/fight one another.

If Republicans put it on the ballot, I promise to give them my vote.

Puerto Rico makes sense. As a percentage they enlist in greater numbers compared to the continental USA.

They deserve statehood if they want it.

Sadly, the GOP is spineless and likely wont do anything.
Balls is starting the Iraq war under false pretenses.

The GOP always has a chance as long as the Dems remain centrists focused on placating the same elites that the Republicans serve.

DC and Puerto Rico should have a right to statehood. Why should some areas of the country not get representation? Because you don’t like it? If you are afraid your beliefs don’t work in “the markets pace of ideas” then maybe they just suck and you should accept that you can’t get your way.

I like the civil war option better. We have the guns and the military on our side!

FromWikipedia
The District of Columbia's at-large congressional district is a congressional district based entirely of the District of Columbia. According to the U.S. Constitution, only states may be represented in the Congress of the United States. The District of Columbia is not a U.S. state and therefore has no voting representation. Instead, constituents in the district elect a non-voting delegate to the U.S. House of Representatives.

Sorry, you're aren't making DC a state so that the democrats have two more permanent votes, or Puerto Rico which would be 2 more permanent votes.

Better idea: merge DC into Virginia. Now you have representation.
