Yes, I've met rational liberal folks. Some of my best friends are liberals in fact. Many of them are quite successful. But they seem to be the exception these days. I try to avoid discussing politics at all costs. You don't have to agree with someone's world view to be their friend.
That's an ideal that I believe in but it's turned into a one-way street. IRL I have had too many liberal friends who I've sat and listened to patiently about politics but when it came my turn to respond with a differing pov it was met with shock and ultimately the cold shoulder. They had assumed I was one thing politically and then when it turned out that I was actually another they shut down. They didn't want a dialogue, it was all a monologue with them.
Interesting that nowhere in the ORIGINAL study that the words "mental health" can be found. It appears once again, a Big Lie is easily swallowed by many.
How is that different from the American population in general?
