If they knew they couldn't get an abortion for being irresponsible then they'd be more responsible.
Because that is what history has shown us?
There has always been irresponsible sex. People have engaged knowing a pregnancy could occur that would result in excommunication or death. People had sex knowing additional members would endanger the survival of their family or tribe, knowing infanticide would be the only answer or selling their infant to a baby farm.

Sure, there will be some that will continue to have irresponsible sex knowing they can't get a legal abortion if they become pregnant but my point was that fewer will. People in general need to stop being enabled which encourages irresponsible behavior. For example, there would be far more murders, rapes, etc. if they knew there would be no consequences for their actions.

What you are calling irresponsible behavior is what most call normal behavior. As I said before few people use 2+ forms of BC and schedule sexual intercourse after careful consideration.
Since 1990 the number of abortions has decreased nearly 60% since becoming legal in 1973. That would indicate that access to legal abortion has not caused people to become less responsible but more responsible so making abortion illegal will not cause people to be more responsible.
So according to statistics murders were at a high in 1992 at ~24,000 with a steady decline to ~15K in1999. Murders gradually rose to 17k in 2006, dropping to the lowest point in 2014 at 14K. From there murder has been sharply increasing to 21K in 2020. As for rapes, 110K in 1992 dropping to a low of 85K in 2012 then a sharp increase to over 143K in 2018 dropping down to 126K in 2020.
Explain the correlation of numbers of murders and rapes related to consequences.
Killing a landlord, toddler, infant, disabled, elderly or any other category of a born person is illegal. It’s a deflection you have no answers when posters ask you how you make the irresponsible, responsible. You deflect and don’t answer.
95% of all unintended pregnancies are due to the failure to use any birth control at all (54%), or using it incorrectly/inconsistently (41%), such as forgetting to take one or more daily pills during a cycle.
Sorry. Not answering when you pull a half sentence out of context and just use it as an excuse to paste in your unsourced statistics for the umpteenth time

Being irresponsible is normal behavior now? I didn't say that people have to use two forms of BC prior to sex although it would give added protection. I said, that women should be on birth control if they know they are going to be sexually active soon or in the future. What's so hard about that? You don't have to think about taking a BC pill prior to sex. One can just make it a part of their daily routine. What's so hard about that?
I disagree. As I said, even less women would take the chance of getting pregnant if they knew that abortion wasn't an option.
No matter what you say many thinking of committing murder, rape, etc. will not do it because they don't want to go to prison or worse.
