Unfortunately, that will not happen. Its a free country, so the locusts are free to migrate to greener places.

Look at the population history of Cleveland, or Detroit...the rats will flee the sinking ship, and land elsewhere.

In the 1990s, California’s immigrant population grew by 2.4 million people, a 37% increase. But in the first decade of the 2000s, growth slowed to 15% (1.3 million), and in the past 10 years, the increase was only 6% (about 600,000). The decline in international immigration has contributed to the slowdown of California’s overall population growth.

People who move to California are different from those who move out. In general, those who move here are more likely to be working age, to be employed, and to earn high wages—and are less likely to be in poverty—than those who move away. Those who move to California also tend to have higher education levels than those who move out...

That was then, and this is now. Your 6% increase came from births, & foreign immigrants.

If you fous upon domestic migration between 2010-2020 ~5,000,000 California resident left the state. In 2021, the rate INCREASED! Also in 2021, 50% LESS American citizens moved into Cali from other states in 2021 than in 2020.

There is no good demographic news for California at this time. Maybe the Asians moving in that are not broke, or uneducated, would be the only bright spot.

Won't be long before they start moving on for greener pastures. Asians tend to want to settle down and buy a house and start families etc, and that's incredibly difficult in California.

They’re fleeing California because like any liberal, they screwed it up by voting for and supporting policies that didn’t make any sense and were not to work, the way their collectives brains “thought” it would.

Now, they’re fleeing to other States… With the SAME BS thoughts and ideals, which will turn that other State into a hell hole in a few election cycles.

Ideals and policies, solely based on emotions and feelings will never work and this alone is proof that liberalism is a mental condition!! Most liberals have a hard time dealing with facts, so they simply drift off into some fantasy world.

This is now. And sorry; not from births.

Exploring Recent Trends in California Births:

Birth rates are not just falling in California: since 2007, the fertility rate across the country has fallen from 2.1 to 1.6. But the California rate fell faster, from 2.2 to about 1.5, and spanned race and ethnicity.

California’s birthrate dropped to its lowest level ever in 2016, according to data released by the state’s Department of Finance:

When the governance moves from creating opportunity into creating equity ... we have a problem Houston. California is just untenable in it's current state. It will continue to spiral a slow downward trend over time and that's too bad. The citizens are essentially powerless to enact change and are grossly under represented.

At one time it was great, if not the greatest state, and certainly the most desirable state to move to. Now... They're pooping in their mess kits. It's gonna get worse before it gets better.

You obviously have not been in California within the past couple of decades.

I said Birth rates AND foreign immigration.

California lost 5,000,000 residents from 2010-2020. About 3,000,000 moved into Cali from other states. Thus, a net 2M loss in domestic migration.

So, how does cali get to a 6% overall populaton growth after losing a net of 2,000,000 American residents?

There are only 2 ways...births, and foreign imigrants...oh and alien landings if you believe in that stuff.

correction, the real # is 2.8M, sorry I understated the net outbound migration of CA 2010-2020.
