Again, some of the numbers coming out are just impossible to believe. 100+ planes? That's like the total of 10 years in Afghanistan. Come on.
where are you seeing the bit about 100+ planes? i'm not finding that at your link.

I'll believe it when both sides post some figures, because I never just go by one biased source only. Having said that, Russia has a history of sloppy, very costly offensives that don't go as planned... Or maybe they don't plan and they just wing it??? According to some sources, the military was sent to Ukraine on a "training exercise"... So maybe the latter is the case this time around? I think Putin greatly overestimated how much support he would find in Ukraine, and underestimated how long his opposition would continue to stand and fight.

FWIW, Russia lost about 1 in 7 (civilians included) of it's population during WW2. So large, seemingly unacceptable death tolls are not that unusual for Russia during war times.

Going back to Ivan The Terrible at least the "Russian" capacity to absorb punishment and death is likely second to none. They are very tough people.

The problem with your thesis is the Soviets/Russians NEVER tell the truth about anything. We'll never see useful figures from them about any of this.

We know of 9 top officers who have been killed, 4 of them were generals and the list includes the SOB who led forces against Crimea.
The Sun reports 12,000 troops killed. Usually, there are about 3 wounded for every 1 killed. The US army turned that statistic on its head in Afghanistan, recording about 7 to 1 due to excellent battlefield care.

100 planes?... I dunno. Counting helicopters, maybe. With shoulder fired missiles everywhere it could happen.

There have been many reports that Russian communications is way behind the times and they are using cellphones which are easily tracked. We've heard that report from the very beginning.

Additionally, reports are that 15,000 Russians have been arrested back home during anti-war protests.

Russians are reported to be digging in and no longer advancing. "Lots of luck, Rooskies. The Switchblade is a kamikaze drone with a range of 7 miles and they are arriving in Ukraine by the truckload. Dig in if you like - you're still gonna be torpedoed by some soldier you never get to see who has found you on his game controller"

Incredibly enough, the Russians are getting their ass handed to them. They will never be forgiven for what they have done and they have to know that.

They don't. They just rubber stamp what it's given to them by the side that benefits to continue the war. After Vietnam, Middle East and Afghanistan wars from building up to it and waging the war, why would anybody give a blind check to these people again?

Right, per communications I've seen pics of Russians using cell phones and read others have spotted crappy unencrypted Chi-com radios from decades ago.

Sounds familiar. We were sloppy in Vietnam, Middle East and Afghanistan wars. The last war we ran "edfficient" was WW 2 and that's because our government had a complete blackout of the news and people back then were obedient and our side won so it made it acceptable. You can't get it away with that again with our 24/74 media and social media.

What I don't understand is this propaganda that the Russian military (not the government ) is sloppy but the Ukraine military supposed to be great, based on what? They make it sound like Russians are Boy Scouts and Ukrainians are Navy Seals Commandos. I know the propaganda from our side is to keep painting a picture of winning so the money and weapons keeps pouring in just like a political campaign but what part is b.s. and how long will they keep pushing the propaganda? Is like sending a kid for 12 round fight with Mike Tyson, when to you realize the kid can't win the fight but you keep patching him up in between rounds and sending him out there for a beating?

The Russians may have lost that total. It is the entire range of possible losses.
I would think that 100 aircraft lost is about right. They have taken to firing missiles from outside Ukraine. If they had air superiority they would still be moving. The use of helicopters has been a Russian staple in battle when they have superior numbers. Now there is no mention of their use.

No, sorry, it was not in that one. That was the last number I saw reported yesterday, but I don't remember which site.

This link says 97 fixed-wing aircraft (with the "could not be verified" disclaimer)
