For some reason I can't get the link to copy.....I'll try to edit it in paywall and all.
here's your article. no specific breakdowns as to killed/wounded/MIA, but if accurate, that's pretty brutal.

NATO estimates Russia may have lost as much as one-fifth of its combat forces in about a month of fighting in Ukraine as President Biden and alliance leaders gather in Brussels for a summit to discuss providing further support to Kyiv to repel the Russian invasion.
Up to 40,000 Russian troops have been killed, wounded, taken prisoner or are missing in Ukraine, said a senior military official from the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. Russia may also have lost 10% of its equipment, impairing Moscow’s ability to maintain its pace of operations, said another NATO official.

I get that it's easier to navigate life believing all published information is a lie. I just don't buy that logic.
I don't either. If 10,000 were KIA there very easily could be another 20,000 wounded and out of action. And we already know there are many abandoned vehicles - those soldiers are not so far from home that they could not easily find their way back to Russia.

Of course not, but:

"The senior military officer, speaking on condition of anonymity under ground rules set by NATO, said the estimated deaths are based on information from the Ukrainian government, indications from Russia and open-source information. "

https://www.yahoo.com/news/biden-mee...073149792.html

Again, some of the numbers coming out are just impossible to believe. 100+ planes? That's like the total of 10 years in Afghanistan. Come on.

That is rather interesting. NATO set ground rules and all info has to come from the Ukraine government.

Every bit of detail I can find indicates the Russians are paying a heavy price. But no question some of the claims don't make any sense.

Russia would probably be less careful/strike a little harder if they were taking such loses. Inflated for moral?
