Speaking of the Maginot Line. Who exactly is Ukraine going to bypass Russian defense through? Belarus? Black Sea? Russia?
Better example have you?

This is the result when you have a corrupt regime and incompetent managers whose primary skill is rear-kissing while selling half of the materials on the black market. Wait long enough and you don’t need explosives to bring that bridge down.
Probably Chinese materials and design.
They should seriously consider suing.

Or Turkish.

I thought so too.

That's if those "cracks", that look like someone's drunk hand draw with mouse on existing picture of who knows which pillars, are indeed cracks and indeed in the Kercheskiy bridge.
They got to be 2 inches wide at least, judging by the pillar size and "crack" width. I'd safely presume, both would have collapsed by now.

Russia is on fire. This is most likely the work of Russian freedom fighters.

ISW Update 6/1/23

https://www.understandingwar.org/bac...nt-june-1-2023

Quote:
Jun 1, 2023 - Press ISW

Russian forces conducted another series of missile strikes on Ukraine overnight on May 31 to June 1 and during the day on June 1. The Ukrainian General Staff reported that Russian forces launched 10 Iskander ballistic missiles targeting Kyiv City from Bryansk Oblast, which borders Ukraine, in the morning on June 1, and that Ukrainian air defense destroyed all 10 missiles. The Ukrainian General Staff also reported that Russian forces launched two S-300 missiles targeting critical infrastructure in Kharkiv City during the day on June 1. Ukrainian Air Force Spokesperson Colonel Yuriy Ihnat stated that Ukraine cannot strike launch points of Russian Iskander missiles in Russia as Ukraine is under obligations not to strike Russian territory with Western-provided weapons. ISW has previously assessed that Russian forces began a new limited air campaign in recent months to degrade Ukrainian counteroffensive capabilities, but that the Russian prioritization of Kyiv is likely further limiting the campaign’s ability to meaningfully constrain potential Ukrainian counteroffensive actions.

Or when your side boasts of starting an amazing offensive that never starts, and loses Bakhmut (now Artyomovsk) to boot. That means that you have ceded the initiative and are not advancing, letting the other side decide when and where the fight will be. The Ukrainians have the best the US and NATO can provide - training, war materiel, money, mercenaries, and game changing weapons. And yet...

Refineries and other oil facilities in Russia are being hit hard.
Krasnodar oil facility was hit and there was a fire. It is very close to Novorossiysk and that's important because that's where most of the Black Sea fleet is based since Sevastopol is too dangerous.
Russians are moving forces around trying to put them where they will do the most good. Ukraine, meanwhile, tries to provide Russia with false information to try to get Russia to believe this thing or that.

My favorite sources believe the much anticipated Ukrainian offensive may begin in earnest in a few weeks. The Russian offensive has never materialized, which is strange for an invading country. I mean, if Country A invades country B, why would country A then wait around for country B to form an offensive?!... The answer might be, because country A is doing everything they can, but cannot move forward.

Yeah, setting busses on fire is one of the very important elements of any fight for freedom

This is starting to look like WW1, trench warfare .... it's utter stupidity and a needless bloodbath. Thanks BIDEN and criminal gang for arming the Ukranians to the teeth to keep it going.
