Uh ... did you run out of diesel oil?

The original post was on 10-23-2022. The claim by Tucker was we would be running out of diesel oil more than a month ago and people like you were making a big stink about it then. You are acting as if it actually happened.

Do you not understand that inflation is created by shortage?.

Inflation is not created by shortage. It is created by companies which take advantage of the situation to make obscene profits through price gouging.

Some of these 'shortages' are artificially induced.

For instance, Trump made a two year agreement with OPEC to cut back production.

And never allow prices to drop to pre-situational levels.

I actually work in pricing for a printing large company. Supply chain problems have been a real challenge, and for a while there our costs for paper and ink had risen substantially.

When costs go back down we are not going to automatically drop our prices. The loss of orders, or the potential of lost orders, is the competitive pressure which will make for more attractive pricing, not the drop in material costs. So assuming energy costs start falling, our suppliers will wait until they have no choice but to drop their prices. Then we will continue to wait before we drop our prices. Our customers will wait until they have no choice before they drop their prices. If possible, anyone along the way will keep prices up indefinitely.

That's how it's done. That excess revenue gets banked and ultimately goes to the owners, who would be the first to remind us that they are not running a charity.

Call me when it’s at $2.35 a gallon again, and we’ll talk.

You realize the national average was above $2.35/gal for the lion's share of The Former Guy's term, right?

If you're going to cherry-pick numbers, how about we use the $1.69/gal number from the end of Obama's admin? Thanks, Obama!

actually tucker said we had a 25 day supply when 120-180 is more the norm. 25 days more than drives the price up...D is sustaining well over 5 as a result. 25 days is one refinery fire (and there are a crowd of biden voters with IEDs outside any refinery at any moment in this country) away from missed deliveries. diesel affects the base cost of everything you consume and if you are biden supporter - even more so.

gotcher heating oil delivered yet?

well, #1, the above is a lie. A Big one: https://www.statista.com/statistics/...es-since-1990/

well as obama said, never underestimate Joes ability to do what?

The highest gas prices the planet has ever seen came directly from Obama, and later Biden policies. Period. Mic drop.

(do kinda miss Clintons complete 'hands off' approach to the economy, namely energy sector) that was the last time that you said you never had to worry about filling your car...
