I refuse to cut off my nose to spite my face. Trump is not electable. I won't vote for someone who can't win the general election, and if he did win, would not be effective at governing.

I want a GOP president without Trump's baggage and negatives.
He was never a good leader.
He divided the country and tried to destroy democracy.
He might have made a good dictator.
Fortunately he never got to that point.

Rupert Murdoch and his media empire is conservative and very powerful. They built up Trump and are now tired of him. They won't support him in another election. Their recent headlines don't look good for him. So no, no one is scared of Trump.....just tired of his ego and putting himself first.

Fox News bailed hard on Trump in 2020. They fired pro-Trumpers. They ordered pro-Trumpers to tone it down. After Murdock's sons took over Fox, they bailed on Trump. They hate Trump's guts. They are just smart enough to let some Trump support go on because it was good for ratings.

That wuss? Hah. He lost any respect I gained for him defending democracy on January 6th by doing his damn job and not listening to a bunch of anarchists threatening to hang him with his ABC News interview from yesterday. The guy would let the people decide that a guy who allowed anarchists to threatened his life and his family if he is "ineligible." Mike Pence is a spineless gutless worm. He is an enabler and enablers are just as guilty as the criminal.

Roboteer is right. Trump was talking about what China's Xi told him, that China would have a quick trial and execute the same day --"That's horrible! But they don't have drug problem." commented Trump.

Oh, team blue is hardly innocent either - I agree. And Biden made an awful mess getting us out of Afghanistan the way he did. That was just shameful.

However, when it comes to the current war de jour, I blame Putin. The Democrats did not invade Ukraine. Yes, we are sending all sorts of weapons to Ukraine. Why not? The Defense Industry gets to make piles of money and they can try out new toys without involving a single member of our own military in the exercise. What's not to love?

Plus, I like the Ukrainians. I think they are showing a lot of spunk and fighting hard for their country.

Its not a big surprise that Trump announced he is running for president in 2024, he still seems to have a lot of support. It will be interesting to see who the other Republican nominees will be that he goes against.

In terms of limiting the number of refugees, the border and not starting wars....he did good. He absolutely did not do well at uniting the country or taking care of the environment.

To be honest though, he did far better than our current president who is giving billions of dollars to Ukraine and allowing millions of illegals to invade our country.

Oh come on.
I do watch Fox now and again just to keep an eye on what they are up to. They've been selling up all the far right wing crazy election deniers that Trump endorsed right up until the dismal red drip that was supposed to be a wave. If what you are saying is true they are doing a good job of hiding it.

Do you realize how incredibly vulnerable you are, in that case?

It would take NOTHING to disrupt the election. Trucks going between one location and another could be held up, and wham, you have completely and forever lost those ballots.

Any fire.

Any misplacement of paper ballots.

Human hand counters (remember, these are ONLY paper, no machines involved) who purposely miscount.

This is the way elections used to be done, and why in the past fraud to the level that would throw an election was possible.

And if you think elections are slow to count this time? You'd be waiting months for the tallies with ONLY paper.
All of which can be watched as they happened. And the perpetrators seen. And investigated. And their deeds exposed. And recounted. And they are prosecuted. And, if needed, some of the elections re-run, with the names of the offending Democrats being held up high to explain why it's necessary.

None of which is possible in today's two-month-long "election day", and unsupervised mail-in ballots, and unmanned ballot drop boxes, and Democrats locking Republican election monitors out of buildings as Democrats "count" the ballots. All of which happened in the 2020 election... and are nearly impossible to trace.

Yes, "**ONLY** paper ballots" are far better than that.

Or were you expecting a "perfect" system? GO ahead and design one. In the meantime, we'll have to settle for "As good as system as humanly possible"... which is a lot better than what we have now.

Unless you're a Democrat, and desperate to cheat wherever and whenever you can. Which may be going on right here, right now, even as we speak.
