Well said not to mention practice. When under attack you don't have time to stop and think. You must know which direction is safe on which is off.

Judging by the people on this forum, it seems that most that participated seem to think a firearm is a preferred weapon of choice. I wonder what a factual and honest consensus of the people in the US would result in. Something tells me that the anti-gun crowd doesn't really represent the majority which would be funny considering they claim to speak for it all too often. No wonder they want to get rid of guns, it would be dangerous to their health for the people to have them when they started pushing their additional laws. *chuckle*

Crowbar

I'm sure all you gun rights sorts know the difficulty I would have legally obtaining a gun.

I think the vats majority of people in the United States have little fear of attack in their homes. I'm sure quite a few don't even consistently lock up their homes when they go to bed. The more fearful types seem to gravitate to guns because it makes them feel safer.

Well - you sure have explained, quite clearly, the tremendous increase in Gun sales in the United States - especially by women - and the tremendous increase in CCW permits -

I went to Thailand and never locked my house. I had no worries as I know my neighbors have my back.
Fear?? No I don't think so. Its more about making sure the bad guy actually gets the reward he deserves if they make the mistake of threatening me or mine.

We had an "unwelcomed visitor" at our door in early April in the wee hours and I'll tell you this, I felt like I was in control knowing my crazy dog and my trusty Lady Smith and Wesson were by my side.

Homeowner, burglary suspects in shootout; 1 dead

Phoenix police found one man dead and another shot after responding to a residence near 91st Avenue and Lower Buckeye Road.

The 25-year-old homeowner told police he was home alone when he saw three men in his backyard, armed and looking to break into the residence. The resident traded gunfire with the suspected intruders, resulting in the gunshot wounds
