Ahh...I think you have your "facts" mixed up. Do you have anything at all to support your statement? Especially the second part?

Reagan was not only a very popular President, but he turned the economy around after the disasterous Jimmy Carter years, and we had 96 straight months of economic expansion. That fact is not even arguable.

Not only that, but under Reagan, with his tax cuts, revenue to the Federal government actually increased (it always does when taxes are cut).

Can you tell me how "Reagan was the beginning of us becoming a second world country"? Go on. Give it a go. Point by point, and back it up with some credible references.

However, under Obama, we are certainly headed for 3rd World status. Soon, no one is going to buy our debt. And our dollar is already practally worthless.

Of course he fails to say that FDR was the first to use Csar for anything within the government and FDR was the first to institute give-a-way programs. And we all know that nothing is temporary if the government starts it, no matter what they say. FDR also kept the depression going longer than it would have because of the spending spree he went on.

Holy cow dude. You have the biggest blinders on in the world. It'll pop up there when you realize Obama has trumped every president in the history of the United States on deficits all combined. I know he's dealing with a recession. What was Reagan dealing with? Almost a decade of recessions.... I've provided the info you just don't give a rat's a**. It's very very clear he knew is was (Exogenous; Long Run) when he cut taxes by too much.

Tax Equity and Fiscal Responsibility Act of 1982

The Conference report shows total revenue increases from all of the provisions of $17.959 billion in fiscal 1983; $37.664 billion in fiscal 1984; and $42.698 billion in fiscal 1985 (97th Congress, 2d Session, House of Representatives Report 97-760, 8/17/82, p. 691). Part of these estimated revenue effects were due to increased compliance and enforcement, rather than genuine tax changes.

Uh oh! That's doesn't bode well for the liberal deregulation ruined America rhetoric...

It's probably on the same curve which shows that the (Democrat-controlled) Congress, spent, on average, 2.8% more than Reagan asked for.

LMAO. These massive defecits and debt he started was the begining. Atleast we'll have something to show for Obamas debt. I guess you have not been paying attention lately either. We never fixed Nixons mess. Our whole economy has been smoke in mirrors. One Bubble after another followed by more deregulation to create more bubbles. We cut taxes and government revenue to keep those bubbles going. Well guess what the problem is still there and thanks to Reagan and his two genius followers we are also 11 trillion debt. Now you want to blame Obama for having to borrow so much. He wouldn't have to borrow it if republicans hadn't spent all of our money.

Lol...I didn't expect you to be objective on this matter. Who signed those bills by the way?
Don't forget we had fiscal responsibility and it wasn't by a Republican.

None of this stuff addresses the "vote with your feet" attitude of Reagan's towards people who lost their jobs due to a massive collapse of their industry.

Maybe you just can't see what his policies achieved. That has nothing to do with him though and way more to do with not understanding what actually went on during those years. You're not naive but I have a feeling you have been hoodwinked by the mantra against him. Of course everyone has a right to their own opinions.
