As I said, docs have been doing this for years. I remember when I was back in high school, 40+ years ago now, one of mymom's friends was seriously ill and her dr. told her to "get her affairs in order". That is a dr's job.

So, each five years prior to her expected death was her doctor telling her to get her affairs in order? Yes, that's a doctors job, when it's time. I need only one death consultation and that will be in the coroner's office.

Could be, but I'm certain those thinking the government has any place supporting, funding or requiring death consultation are.. joking. Really, and no funny faces.

If you don't have your affairs in order, including a medical power of attorney, you will be in big trouble when you are admitted to the hospital and you can't express your wishes. My daughter just today told me a horror story from her own physical therapy practice. The hospital is obligated to do everything possible if you have not left instructions to the contrary and you are unable to express yourself. I have heard many people say "I don't want what happened to my parent to happen to me", e.g. feeding tubes, etc, etc. None of these things are a pretty sight.

So now, because Sarah P. and others had such a hissy-fit, docs can't get paid for telling people this stuff.

exactly, anybody, anybody who has surgery in a hospital in this country, if they have Living Will, it will be requested by the hopsital and literally put right by their chart. If you don't have one the hospital will help you with that. There is absolutely nothing radical about this or the stanza in the legislation but fear mongering has ruled the day.

gotta admit, the dems are such whimps they've let a backwoods idiot with a journalism degree pimp them. And she used Facebook to do it!!!!

we must be the laughing stock of the world.

Living Wills or Death Panels are small change compared to Dick Armey / Freedomworks law suit which would effectively destroy Medicare and Social Security. Tens of millions of Seniors will be on their own
