While I agree with the sentiment here for the most part, when it comes to the children...well, we know it happens, and will continue to happen, and since we can't prevent it, I feel we do need to take care of them. The children should not suffer for the sins of the parents (though they often do).
It's a shame. Maybe one of our new czars, with an interest in population control, will be able to take care of this problem resulting from indiscriminate mating and there will be no more hungry children.
