The trial doesn't happen if they don't get past the hearing on the motion to dismiss.

So no trial has been ORDERED. Nice try though.

I am thinking that you have very little understanding of the American legal system and how it works. Hope and pray that it never happens because The Man is in trouble if he ever has to release any of those papers.

Thank you for expanding on my previous post. There is no trial ordered. There is a hearing ordered. Once the case is dismissed at the hearing, there will be no trial. It's a legal thing.

Dude, it was the first sentence in the first link.

A California judge today tentatively scheduled a trial for Jan. 26, 2010, for a case that challenges Barack Obama's eligibility to be president based on questions over his qualifications under the requirements of the U.S. Constitution.

If the case actually goes to arguments before U.S. District Judge David Carter, it will be the first time the merits of the dispute have been argued in open court, according to one of the attorneys working on the issue.

Shocker! Judge orders trial on eligibility issue

Just out of curiosity, what do you think "tentatively" means?

I'm not a birther. At all. But the thought did occur to me that eventually those persistent enough would eventually find a judge that would consider the case without outright dismissing it as frivolous. Judge Carter may well be that person. Guess we'll find out.

I am with you on this one. If this goes to trial he will be in deep poo.

Something tells me this will get tossed to the side and or tossed out for some lame reason. Wait and see.

Why doesnt the moron just settle this once and for all.

Afterall he is costing us all tons of money.

Gosh, we are all sick of this so get with it Obama and show the damn paperwork or disprove this is wrong.

What the hell do you have to hide anyway?

You know how some people need to have things explained a second or third time before they understand. Thanks for helping him out...

Take a look at the title of the thread and OP.

"Judge Orders Trial"

Not the case.

2. Uncertain; hesitant.
