Free speech is not bad, corruption is bad. Abortion clinics were always allowed to speak, but now they are allowed to buy the representatives, and there is the problem. But I have had enough of this repetition with you. Obviously you have no problem with the ruling, so don't worry about it. I think you will see the problem later this year when the the ads kick in for mid-term elections.

I don't see what the problem is;

Top Contributors to Barack Obama | OpenSecrets

This table lists the top donors to this candidate in the 2008 election cycle. The organizations themselves did not donate , rather the money came from the organization's PAC, its individual members or employees or owners, and those individuals' immediate families.
Same difference.

You assume incorrectly that I will be offended because some Corporation will make an add that i will not agreer with. You are wrong. I support them making what ads they want. If they make a false ad they will be sued . So freedom of speech means everyone is on equal footing. No need for 527s .

Really? Somehow I think those with more money can buy more air-time, but I guess that's just me.

Corporations will have the politicians under complete control. They will say "we'll throw in a 50 million dollar ad campaign, if you do this and this for us when you get in Congress". Can you imagine the increase in pork? That is why the anti-corruption law was put in place.

And to think, we could have seen Hilary, the movie on TV had this ruling come out during the last election cycle.

It is a timely change considering the White House Chief of Staff's comment... (http://newsbusters.org/blogs/seton-motley/2010/01/18/wh-chief-staff-emanuels-joke-first-amendment-its-highly-overrated-its- - broken link)

They do that today. The deal obama made with Big Pharma preempted their ad campaign against obamacare. That didn't bother you?

Bill of Rights | LII / Legal Information Institute

Quote:
Amendment I

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.
McCain-Feingold abridged free speech. It is just that simple.

And churches too, i believe.

It's time to pass the EmployeeFreeChoice Act to level the playing field with the "big boys" since the "union" was marginalized a long time ago. If a "corporation" can have First Amendment Rights, so can anyone inside working within that corporation.
