Agree with you. Stop aid to everyone without prejudice or bias. I think people mention Israel because they "need" it less than others based on their more advanced economy, etc.
I just wonder if this is an issue that grass root right wingers and progressives could get behind?

remember what happened to Howard Dean? Once he stood up for equal treatment of the Paletinian cause vs. Israel, he was pronounced
"un-electable" by the media, he didn't have a chance.
We fund Israel because most of those weapons are Made in the USA and are a subsidy for our arms industry.
I suggest we make those weapons for ourselves and stop funding a religious war in Palestine. In fact we should simply pick up and pull our money and our armed forces from the entire area. Let the Saudi Royals fund their own protection and the international Likud fund theirs.

If you knew anything you would know the 1 Trillion dollar cost is the "total cost" over 10 years.(Although you exaggerate that) But that's not the "additional cost" as they are taking from Medicacare advantage and other programs. And people are required now to buy their own insuracnce....
So expansion of Federal Outlays are only 280 Billion over 10 years...That's 28 Billion per year. That's less than 1% of the yearly Federal budget and just 4% of our absurdly gross Military budget.
3 Billion per year is $550 for every Jewish citizen in Israel and it's over 10% of what this health program is costing us in "additional" spending.

I'm sick of this. I'm sick of my government's money going to Israel. I'm sick of my government's money paying for the death of children in a Gaza school. I'm sick of my government's money giving the East a reason to hate us.
Our "unconditional aid" to Israel brought us no fans in the Middle East. Instead, it brought us Radical Islam.

Right but I think their power is on the wane. Younger people are just not intimitated has older folks are of being accused of being called an anti-semite.
They have thrown this once serious accusation around so much it's lost it's effectiveness.
It's almost to the point now where antisemite doesn't mean a person who hates Jews, it means anybody some Jews hate.
