Tell your Israel, we couldn't care less. We've our own country to govern. We don't want you to be pro-American just because you expect billions in hand outs every year.
This whole discussion is a moot point--because in the end Israel usually gets what they want from us. Sure we might scold them about a settlement or two or tell them to wrap up their latest invasion of Lebanon promptly, but full support of Israel is one of the third rails of Ameican politics. Just like military spending, most politicians don't want to touch that one with a ten-foot-pole.
Just try to play nice Israel and you'll get your shiny new jet fighters...courtesy of the American taxpayers.
