Thanks for the help, you guys! For the first time in my life I am appreciating gardening. It is kind of addicting here in PDX. I DO have a ton to learn, though. I am looking forward to the Fall since I moved here last Winter. Can't wait! Thanks again!

Did it not rain at all in Portland Oregon since early July?

Seattle only got 2/10ths-half an inch up until today in the past two months, and it seems like Portland was noticeably a bit more drier than Seattle and with less days that got below 70-75 over there.

It has rained once or twice.

Summer officially ended yesterday. Let the countdown to July 4th, 2011 begin.

To Neal: Actually summer is until September 21/22.

Why do so many people in the PCNW forget that September is usually as dry and sunny and almost as warm as July and August?

Interesting that Portland had one of the wettest Junes on record and then two months with virtually no rain.

I am sure next spring will be warmer and sunnier for the PCNW.

This July and August was great though!

Yesterday it was 95 and we were suffering because of no air conditioning. Today it was 66 and cloudy and it was chilly, I had to put on a jacket during the day time. 7 day forecast calls for highs in the 60s and also cloudy. Looks like spring is happening in late August. Whats next, winter in summer? Oh wait, that was June this year. Gotta love the Pac NW

I went for a walk today. It was great. Perfect temperature for walking without melting. Took a hike in the woods and found a patch of wild blackberries and helped myself.

Every day should be as cool as this one was.
