I agree with Lunar on this one..I too am a bit tired of the rain but!!!when you feel like this just look at the ugly!!! weather the east coast and mid-west have had..Give me a sleepy rainy day anytime.
On the lighter side of this we went to the Keizer Volcanos-Everette Aqua socks game last night and you all would have laugh at the fans in their winter coats ect..It was funny, me I wore my favorite sock cap and gloves and the blanket was handy too..We all were asking each other what month is it.
Its does get cold there even on warm evening in the summer, but its just such fun to go see the games its worth it getting cold for...
Have a good week its suppose to be in the 70's..

Agreed. My father-in-law moved here in February from Tennessee, and all of his friends back home are complaining about the 95-degree days. No thanks!

It's just... a little sun, maybe just around quitting time... soak up a few rays. It doesn't have to get above 75...

NO, NO, NO!

We do not plead and beg for sun-shine. We stand up, face into the storm, and curse the Clouds.

If we start begging, and pleading on our knees, where will it end? Huh? Dragging out some young conservative Republicans to be sacrificed to the hidden Orb In The Sky? (Well, in Portland at least, who else are you going to presume is a virgin?)

Stand Strong, don't beg, don't bend your knees, it's good for the backbone.

Yes, I know, I know, Way over the top snarky My bad.

It was already warm and humid when I arrived here in mid-April. Yuck!

I mean, I understand that different people have different physical and mental needs, but honestly, it sometimes seems that some people need so much bright sunlight that they won't be satisfied until they devise a way to live directly on a star, and even then it still wouldn't be quite enough. How can anyone need that much grey and rain?

I was referring to this: "How can anyone need that much sunlight?"

No need to issue a rejoinder. You already explained it.

My garden begs to differ. The carrots have died from too much rain and not enough sun. The tomatoes are on the verge of molding. Slugs are eating away at our pepper plants... Might as well give up on it now. It'll be too late to plant anything worthwhile pretty soon, if this keeps up.

I don't mind the rain or the grey; in fact, I love it!--in January. I'm an Oregonian for crying out loud. But today was summer solstice and there was no sun. Longest day of the year wasted. This is out of control here!

Hahaha. Phil, have I told you you're awesome lately? +1

Yep, while I'm glad not to be roasting in the heat like much of the rest of the country this is getting ridiculous. I expect this level of cloud cover in...February. I'm going to have to change my status from sun worshiper - I was feeling optimistic that day due to a sun break - to something else.

They're now saying that this year will be like the summer of 1954....only a handful of days in the 80s, no 90s or 100s and wetter than normal. I think I'm going to leave.
