We had summer one day a week or so ago. Sorry if you missed it.

I can remember seeing the mud bath that is Water Front park at the Rose Festival Fun Center many years. It often continues to rain in June although this year I think the weather is a bit colder than usual.

Does anyone remember that warm and relatively dry and sunny period we had in late-winter/early spring this year?

Geez, it seems like a lifetime ago at this point that we were getting sun almost every day. I know complaining about the weather in Oregon is like complaining about getting your boat stolen in Somalia--but this can feel like the worst time of year for weather. Because I'm used to and expect the rain through the winter and spring, but when it continues to be grey and rainy into June(like it does most years)--the wait for summer just seems interminable.

Oh yeah, and the annual drenching rain for the Rose Festival parade--heh, it's like clockwork every year..

I didn't want to, but I'm doing it... I'm buying a plane ticket to California.

Frankly I have to say, this sucks. Tomorrow is the first day of summer. This is the time of year when we have our days when the sun doesn't set until 9:45. It feels like April.

It's not the cool temps that bother me as much as the lack of light.

yep it feels worse than normal this year, cold, dark and dreary. And it looks like the whole state is under one huge cloud, the only sunny place I saw today was Brookings and Burns. It's starting to make me, a life long old Oregonian look at sunnier, warmer states for the upcoming "golden years"

Well, look at the weather records - this is a RECORD cold and wet spring, not normal at all.

This has been going on long enough that if my company offers me a relocation to Phoenix, I might just have to say yes.

I was born and grew up here but this is getting re-freaking-diculous.
Come on down to south AZ...more summer than one cares for!

Man, you people are such downers. How can anyone need that much sunlight? I feel that this has been one of the most pleasant springs I've ever experienced. Nice, cool, not too much burning sunlight, lots of life-giving and relaxing rain. I hope it continues for at least a few more weeks. Certainly much nicer than last year's spring. It was already warm and humid when I arrived here in mid-April. Yuck!

I mean, I understand that different people have different physical and mental needs, but honestly, it sometimes seems that some people need so much bright sunlight that they won't be satisfied until they devise a way to live directly on a star, and even then it still wouldn't be quite enough. (Those troublesome sunspots can really aggravate one's SAD!)
