The CDC & FDA are recommending that the J&J vaccine be put on hold while they review cases of blood clots.

Due to that recommendation, several clinics will stop giving the J&J vaccine.

Wow, that's significant.

I'm getting Moderna #2 shot later today. Will be glad to have that over with.

Unfortunately, this will cause more hesitation with vaccines overall, especially with the J&J which already had more than enough side-eyes towards it, but one people were starting to get comfy with for the one shot stipulation.

My old church in VA was able to switch to the Moderna vaccine from J&J so they were able to keep the set appointments for today. A few people I know scheduled for the J&J were not so fortunate.

The news on the J&J one is interesting. A small number of clot issues out of all the doses given....but apparently all the people who reacted to it with clots were women.

Not trying to speculate too much, but wonder if its potentially related to BC.

But you are right, not going to help with vaccine hesitancy.

My only vaccine hesitancy is which arm to get today's vaccine. I'm right-handed & chose to get the 1st shot in my right arm. I'm thinking left arm today.

you'd think they could do a decent analysis of "why" quickly with just 6 cases.

It certainly isn't a big sample size...to be sure.

I can’t lie, I am pretty hesitant of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine myself and I would have felt the same about AstraZeneca’s had it been here.

I ended up getting the Moderna vaccine myself, but it’ only the first shot. I have to wait until May for shot #2.
