So the drama continues......they countered back at $13,000 more than what our offer was plus they wanted to leave at the end of January instead of end of March so we would lose $6000.00 in rent money. Then they said no to 1/2 of the things we asked for and we did not ask for much. We asked for this tiny little tv on their porch and they said no.

So, we countered back at $10,000 more than our asking price and rent until the end of February. So that was a $6000.00 difference between what they wanted and what we wanted. They came back and said they would only budge $3000.00.

So we told them to stick it. That was our offer and they could take it or leave it. If they are willing to walk away from this offer over $3000, they can keep the house. Let them try to find someone else that is as ready to go as we are.

We have not heard anything back.

Hammy- how long have they been listed? If it has been a really short time, they might be "thinking" oh we were priced right-already got an offer.

They might still have to FEEL the market out. We all know how it is in the REAL WORLD, they just haven't been exposed to it yet.

Patience might be your best friend right now.

Your exactly right. I think they have been listed for 2 weeks. My agent said she gets that exact feeling, they are just not living in the real world yet. We have all been through the disappointment of our houses not being worth what we thought. It sucks, it really does.

I am just going to hang back and let them do their thing.

Default Way to go!

Congratulations Hammy, that is one gorgeous house. Did they agree to rent until the end of February?
