Stoy- what route do you think you will go? Out 70, cut down in Kansas? OR one of the alternatives?
It appears that western Kansas has clear, but cold weather in the upcoming week. Of course it IS Kansas and that can change in the blink of an eye, LOL
Cma, i havent had a chance to email your friend, but i will and thanks for that contact. on the way to dinner tonight i made a bet with DH that we were not driving through wichita, he thought we were. i won, of course. said i have a friend there, i know.
What are some thoughts on making a reservation at a hotel for Saturday night? it's a holiday wknd, not sure where we will end up. MIL is in the mindset that a holiday wknd means all hotels are booked. im thinking since we are on the road, and not in a touristy area, we'll be fine. what are camps' thoughts??
guess i got my answer!!! it's martin luther king holiday wknd, big wknd around here, as far as tourism and hotels being booked. sure we wont have an issue finding a hotel along the road saturday.
Stoy, not thinking that MLK day is a big traveling day..i think for most folks its a day off work...and with the holidays just behind us, probably not a lot of folks out traveling like that..you should be fine..
