Sorry I just hopped on and then disappeared... my dad AND my FIL were in town... for THREE weeks. They just left this morning.

My husband started his new job this week and the ball started rolling with the relo company. I'm SO grateful that so many of the stressors have been removed this time around. He got a great relo package that includes a buy-out if our house doesn't sell in 90 days, an equity advance for the downpayment on our new house, and closing costs covered both when buying and selling.

Anyway, we've got a mountain of paperwork that I finally slugged through, got pre-approved for the mortgage in the new place, and have a realtor scheduled to come out on Sunday. Things are finally moving along. Planning to go house hunting next weekend.

We were originally looking in PA, where DH's job is, but decided to go with DE instead. The property taxes are 1/4. We would rather have the same mortgage payment but pay less in taxes and pay more towards equity.

Keep warm-sorry you all got it.
Lacey, that is an amazingly low heating bill. How much insulation do you have in the walls/roof? Is it natural gas or propane? In other words, what's your secret?

Hope the potential buyers were just out of cell phone range, and will be calling to set up an appointment soon. The spring selling season is going to kick in soon, especially the farther south you are. You're going to sell this year Carol. You've had lots of interest, so hopefully, the right buyer will come along soon.
