What did you do today that made you happy? (men, cancer)

Not today, but yesterday: did some damage shopping , got my husband's 'thumbs up' on all of it and then hit the town later that night for date night.

Sent the SO to work with two dozen oatmeal scotchies (oatmeal cookies with butterscotch chips). There was a recent duty-related death at his workplace, and although it seems simplistic, I wanted to do something nice for him and his partners. They're in a line of work that is unsung, underappreciated, and often disparaged by an ungrateful public--corrections--and they deserve better than that for all the sacrifices they make.

Spent several hours searching for a soft dog food for my two canine mascots.
Theiy're getting up there in age and haven't quite been seeming to enjoy their meals like they used to. Of course, they never complain and I still get my 'thanks, dad' wags and kisses after they eat. So I went home w/three different varieties for them to try...today was Benefuls soft menue...lots of meat and vegies and rice and it actually smelled like a stew I would eat. LOL...they chowed that down w/burps and groans afterwards...sounded like they really enjoyed it...LOL...

I just got home from attending a friend's wedding reception last night. All my old crew were there and we had such a good time (danced our patooties off). I've dropped off the radar the past few years and now I'm inspired to go out more and see these awesome people with some regularity.
