I read the article, thanks. Those sound like old, tired cliches. Only Neanderthals pull that stuff these days. If women get that kind of guff from their husbands or SO's, why did they marry them/go with them in the first place? Who could stand to be around someone like that?
Actually, I'm sometimes the one using those lines, like "You're so emotional! Calm down." You know how guys can be quick to anger? It's really the men who are the emotional ones, getting riled up over nothing.
While I agree, I also think he makes a good point: we live in a male driven media society, so is it possible that this is conditioned into us from when we're children?
I don't know, but it is interesting and it kind of displays in this thread.
If women are concerned with their health and so on, there fore don't agree that it's okay to let men use them for sex, she's thinking in an, "irrational," way or, "why does it even have to be like all that?" That sort of thing.
I agree 100%, but it drops off significantly when a woman passes from her 40's into her 50's to the point where many women up in that age range don't have sex anymore altogether.
It's no different in the US. The poor in this country are having plenty of sex. The rich in this country are having plenty of sex as well. What a few men on this forum have to understand is that you can't have sex with just anyone.
But the poor aren't getting as much partly because they can't afford Viagra.
As I posted on some long-ago page here, first I have to get the guy's interest, I have to get him to talk to me. Guys are very choosy, they have their preferences as to women's looks. Guys turn down or ignore women all the time, every day.
Everybody can be choosy. You’re right! Men have their preferences when it comes to looks just like women have their preferences when it comes to a man’s economic status. Men get rejected if they use coupons, don’t pay, don’t take initiative, and so on. Just like women won’t be approached if they are not attractive to a guy. A woman will most likely be turned down if she just sits there waiting for a guy to approach her. She has to do her part other than just clearing her throat, playing with her hair, sending hints, etc.
When it comes to relationships, who do you usually hear that gets rejected for sex? Men or women? See what I mean.

Actually, there's a very good point made here that hasn't been discussed overtly. A lot of guys are very self-centered sexually, and don't care whether the woman gets her turn or not. If women could be guaranteed that guys would take the time and make the effort to make sure she got satisfaction, you might see more women being open to casual sex. If the proposition came with a contract whereby the guy guarantees providing the woman with a fair amount of foreplay and oral sex (if desired by the female signatory to the contract), then there might be some hope for you desperate souls.

You guys are going to go extinct. Young people talking about Viagra? What ever happened to the natural ability and drive to breed. I assumed that this drug was for 80 year old guys who used walkers not some sort of party drug...The world is weird---frankly if you need Viagra you are getting in bed with the wrong person...or you married the wrong person. When you are young the mind tells you to get it up -does not matter with who...When you get older the minds say- I never really liked this person to begin with...in fact she has always been a ball buster...so you close your eyes and take the blue pill...and commit yourself to being a toy to a person that can not even self lubricate- it's a weird world now.

You just changed the subject to men/women in relationships. But guys do turn down sex in relationships, too. Especially if they're seeing someone on the side. Or if the woman has a higher sex drive than the guy.
Mostly if the women is unattractive or unhygienic.
