Do you mean asexual? If so, then I'm not sure where such sentiment comes from. Places where large numbers of nerds gather (anime/gaming/steampunk/etc conventions, for instance) are havens for lots and lots of sex.

I'm a bit of a nerd... I'm into physics and aerodynamics, you'd see me reading a book by Carl Sagan long before youd catch me reading twilight, I regularly go to comicons and star trek conventions and I actually own a star trek uniform. I also play a ton of video games (mostly RPGs) and read comic books.
Of course, I also have tattoos, have played in bands and am generally a badass
I LOVE nerds. I have always gone after the nerdy guys, much to the chagrin of my friends, but so far haven't really been able to snag one. I guess they get scared of an 6'tall tattooed rehead coming after them
If you saw me in person, you wouldn't think of me as a "nerd", but I have a lot of nerd like qualities, I like to understand how things work, I find weather patterns fascinating, I love history and geography.
I'm a geek and have been gravitating to geeks and nerds lately. There's something to be said of someone who will get my gamer references (see my t-shirt for one of them) and will not be annoyed if I give in to nerdy tendencies. I was a nerd growing up even though I didn't look like one yet for years went after the bad boy type.
At some point you get older and want someone loyal, stable and willing to do a lot of different things in the bedroom. Which geeks and nerds will easily fulfill.
