to lose weight, you have to be psychologically ready.
If you are in a relationship, your partner has to be supportive of you losing weight.
Some men (like my ex) feel very uncomfortable indeed when their baby-weight wife starts to look HOT again. They will do many things to sabotage your efforts, like surprise boxes of chocolates, buying fattening foods, taking you to tempting restaurants.
It's often easier just to give up.
To lose weight you have to be single minded and selfish. Most married people find it very difficult when being pressured by their spouse, not to change.
I noticed lately that most of the middle aged married people I know are overweight. I googled some stats and found out that within the first 5 years of marriage, people gain almost 30 lbs on average. Why do people get lazy after marriage and stop caring about their health? Don't they find it disgusting to obese?
I don't know....why do some people generalize so much?

Because the stats don't lie. So the generalizing doesn't lie either. Facts are on average married people get fatter almost instantly right as they get married.

If stats don't lie, perhaps you would be kind enough to present some that support the bolded statement. Specifically the part about "instantly right as they get married."
PS: Stats DO lie. Not to be mean, but anyone who thinks stats don't lie...is not that smart.
