^^ I was 19 when I found out that I was pregnant; already had a full time job, my car and my own apartment. I had been supporting myself since my HS graduation at 17. But was I ready to be responsible for caring full time for a child...No! But in my mind we would make it work-regardless of how hard it was going to be. Then dad decided to go AWOL....
I am a single mom, and yes, I was on state help for a couple years, never gotten a dime of child support, went back to college, always working full time and up the ladder I go....We have made it!!!!
That is good to hear that you made it. So many others don't.
I think if you don't like single Mothers then don't date them. Simple solution. Just don't be disrespectful to the men and women trying to bring up their child/children in less than ideal circumstances and don't blame the kids.
It seems that about 8 of every 10 profiles I look at on a dating websit, it is a single mother.
I could understand if they were in their late 20's early 30's and were in a LTR or divorced. But I see an overwhelming 19-13 y/o's with kids, and they have no clue what a LTR even is.
there was one on here, that was 19, with a 5 y/o, you do the math.
Is it so hard for women not to have kids? I am 27, and I have none.(that I know of-lol)
They have dating sights for people that young? I thought you had to be 18.
Im wondering why your looking at profiles of 13 yr. olds. I've never done the online dating, but was under the impression you entered in a gender, age range, etc. to filter out those your not interested in.
My guess would be that there is just more people using online dating. Even single people with kids!

I feel your pain. I'm also in my late twenties an I have noticed when I date or meet women majority of them are already mothers and for some are mothers to two different kids from different baby fathers. There are women with no kids but those types of woman are career minded women and college educated and know what they want. Then again this is nyc I'm not sure if what I see applies to your neck of the wood.

And you don't want someone independent with a brain?
And you don't want someone independent with a brain?
Sadly, many men don't
Not all, no gross generalizations here...but the men I've come across prefer women they can 'dominate'. Had a guy recently tell me the only reason he wouldn't date me is because I was smarter than he was.
His loss.
