Seems it only takes a guy a few seconds at most to do some real damage hence why in my opinion gals would be suited to carry around a mace and tazer and consider almost all approaching guys as possible attackers until otherwise.[/QUOTE]
Well I grew up in lets say a not safe neighbor hood. So everyone walked around with a knife, boxcutter or something sharp just in case. Also no one walked alone where ever you go. Also carrying a firearm and others was not out of the question. Are these at bars or clubs because just on the street while I'm saying is not impossible but that kind of altercation is that common.
Now there's a true friend and gentleman. Have you looked at the Canada threads, though? Many of your countrymen and -women don't share your opinion.
Eh...it's a two way street, Ruth. Some people will inevitably cross the line on both side of the road. The fact of the matter is, we're "brothers". You generally love your brother no matter what, you'll die for him. You can even hate some things about him, but you will always, always, be brothers. Anyway, I think we both know that we can't take most people on the internet at face value though, especially as representatives of a whole country. Right? Right!

They're bars and clubs in middle class neighborhoods and they weren't a nightly occurrence more of a weekly occurrence. Some weeks it happened 3 or 4 times and some weeks 1 or 2 times but they did happen every week.

The rule you gave earlier (about not mouthing off to men, etc.) may apply in this context, but it doesn't apply in daylight in public venues. ....yet. Maybe this is what the world is coming to. I hope not.

In my opinion don't mouth off to guys and don't hit guys probably applies to most contexts as my experiences/observations include public venues in daylight.

Generally speaking, I just ignore them and try to remove myself from the situation. Once they realize they aren't going to get a reaction out of me they move on to the next woman.
