Yeah, I too chime in on condolences for the loss of a family member. It's just one of those unfortunate things in life as we get older that we have to go through.
Oh, Sonic! I'm so sorry for the loss of your father-in-law. Even when a death is expected and is what used to be called a "good death," it's still painful for those who are left behind.
I'm glad that you and your husband were able to move to be nearby and spend time with your FIL. That time had to have been so precious for all three of you.
Thank you! We certainly did our best to help, and I know that at least he was not alone or feeling unloved, in the last couple of years of his life.
In unrelated news, I have had a ridiculous email exchange with the company, Ulta. I keep getting packages in the mail from them, with our address but someone else's name. I have now returned 3 of them unopened (of course.) I decided to try and put a stop to this by emailing them...and I had like five rounds of automatic bot replies asking me for a customer number, which of course I don't have, and after caps-shouting in a reply, "I AM NOT YOUR CUSTOMER" I finally got a response asking for a photo of one of these shipments including the products and the packing slip inside the package. When I had told them that I've been returning these unopened as they arrive. I just replied and told them that no, I would not be opening another person's mail, which is illegal, just because their system apparently doesn't let them look up an address.
This is stupid.
I wonder if the recipient actually lives in the apartment complex in a different unit...perhaps I could talk to someone in the leasing office and see if they could send her a message to contact Ulta and update her address, if that's what's happening? Or am I overthinking this?
I can tell you one thing...given how bad their customer service apparently is, I won't be buying any more Ulta stock and I'll never be an Ulta customer, not that fancy and (I assume) overpriced cosmetics were ever something I was likely to buy.
Does your complex have a bulletin board (real or online) or some kind of social media? You could post a note somewhere asking "are you ordering from Ulta and not getting your stuff?"
I'm having a kind of amusing issue that someone is accidentally typing my email address or forgets what theirs is, so I keep getting signed up for mailing lists from St. Louis. I'm constantly having to unsubscribe from the Missouri Republican party and the alumni association for a boys' Catholic high school and other local businesses. I don't think it's hacking or anything, it really seems like a Boomer who can't keep his email straight.

We have a email address setup for our condo HOA. It's a gmail address that goes to the board members and to the property manager that handles our complex.
I would think that apartments might have a similar setup. Comes in pretty handy, you can report things and they usually get right on it fairly quickly.
Welp, I can finally say good bye to my 20s. We had a good run and I am hoping this new decade will be kind to me.
30s is great.
You start advancing in your career a bit, start to understand life a bit more. As you get older you hear people talking about being young again and listing off ages. For me if I was ever to go back in time, it would be my mid-thirties, not that I would want to go back, but just saying.
Best wishes moving forward. I think you'll have a good time.
Chicken eggs are so expensive, i had to color some dinosaur eggs i dug up.
About 3.80 a dozen (USD) here, but we have our own suppliers ( chickens).
