I honestly believe that while everybody can find love, only some guys are true ladies men. For guys like myself, either that lifestyle is not appealing or too much work to keep up. some guys are built for being casanovas, others are built for more intimate relationships.

I disagree with this and I think it's a really bad misconception that guys have about women. How many stories have you heard about rich men getting cheated on by women? Conversely, I've seen and heard guys living with their moms, without a dime to their name get plenty of action. Even my own brother was one such guy for a while but he's doing very well for himself now.
The thing is that, whatever you want to call it; game, great social skills, charisma, swag, smoothness whatever you want to call it seems to make you more of a ladies man.
Good looks does not make a man a player. Its that guy that knows how to charm his way into your pants, regardless of what he looks like that can potentially be a player. I"ve known ugly guys who get laid all the time!

I never said good looks make a man a player. My friend is really good looking but he would never be a player, he doesn't have the skills. I said being attractive to women (whatever mixture of looks, confidence, charm, etc) raises the opportunity cost of being monogamous.
A guy must know how a women thinks, he must love the touch, feel, smell of a real woman. He needs the confidence to look her in the eye and communicate. He needs the experience to know the right thing to say and how to say it. He needs the education, money, job, security that makes him highly desirable.
A man needs to know how to make great unselfish love to a woman so she wants more. A man needs a sense of humor to make her laugh. He needs to show her things she's never seen like the symphony or a museum.
A man is humble yet is polished, has experience, humor, education and offer the potential of security. A real man knows the answers before he asks the questions.
A real man takes his time and can have about 80% of the women he meets. It's up to him to know how and when to make it happen.

When it comes to obtaining the possible benefits and perks inherent in a successful relationship with a woman, I don't think there is anything such thing as a truly shy man. Men are hard wired to go after what they want. It's genetic. It's biological. Women can get their feelings hurt chasing "shy" men. What is coming off as "shy" to the woman is a man running from her because he doesn't want her, and he is too well-bred to state that rudely. I'd say at most, approach a man you like one time, be alert for real cues that he is into you. If you don't perceive any coming from him, just back off.
It's not about hating players, it's about ducking a suckah before he can get to you and get you all "DIS-com-bob-u-lated"! Without players, there would be no game.
