Appears to have vanished. I thought it might have been moved to the Christianity forum but don't see it there, either.

I have occasionally posted on a topic, gotten rep for it, and then it shows up in your list of reps as "N/A" and I am left wondering Wot Hoppened. Goes with the territory.

It is also possible it's simply a mistake. Such things happen. I don't know if a mod can "un delete" a topic once it's gone.

Personally I'd prefer for deleted topics to be replaced by an explanatory note but the forum software may not allow that and technically a mod is god ... they aren't obligated to explain anything they do.

Since she was voted in that position isn't it possible that those who voted her there was because of her religious stand ?

So actually it is an argument against the people (majority of voters ) that put her there.

LOL. Yes, I read that. Everybody's jumping on Trump's hate bandwagon trying to get a slice of the pie. I think they all are going to be eating crow (at least, I hope so!)

The darkness hates the light and will fight against it. The Holy Spirit guides a TRUE believer away from sin and sin becomes something that we hate and feel absolutely miserable when we betray God and give into it. I'm not going to stand quietly by while people like you celebrate sin and SSM is an blatant betrayal and slap in the face towards the God that you claim to serve. And yet you see nothing wrong with that?

I may have little support in this forum, but guess what, an internet forum is not real life! In real life, there are millions of Christians out there who do not agree with the homosexual lifestyle. In real life, you would find yourself in the minority. Here, you just a meaningless username to me.

I will never reject Jesus but I will certainly reject everything you posted here. Wrapping your stone up in a pretty bow doesn't make you look any better.

So, since you despise what I post, I am therefore posting the truth? GROW up and start to think for your self.

SELF-FULFILLING PROPHECY IS JUST ANOTHER FORM OF THE MESSIAH COMPLEX.

Because people DISAGREE with what others post, it does not mean they are speaking truth. TRUTH is what each of us is willing to accept. While there are OBVIOUS truths--the sky appears blue, we should not harm others, one-ton of anything can crush you---there are those abstract TRUTHS--that was a great movie for some, for others that mover was the worse ever, that place has the worse hamburgers, for others the burgers are the best--ABSTRACT TRUTHS also apply to RELIGION and SPIRITUALITY--some will say God is good and God is Great, others will ask WHICH GOD? and might even be thinking of the same God but looking at God through different filters.

THAT is what evangelical fundies (EF) refuse to SEE or HEAR. They all insist that GOD is in the box and there can and MUST never be ANY variation of God's personality.

Even when it is appearant that God of the OT is different from God of the NT, EF will argue that God is the same.

The EF cannot reconcile a God that does change. They will not accept a God that LOVE everyone.

They cannot separate the PEDOPHILE sin from the stealing sin. They want to RANK sin by some type of M&M scale like national security--there are lesser sins and greater sins. (Like the person who wants (NEEDS) to believe there are MINOR and MAJOR fulfillment of ancient prophecies?)

If some past event of the god-in-the-tiny-box isn't relevant to our lives today, the EF will twist the event (chapter & verse) to connect it to Jesus (who said Himself he was the FULFILLMENT of the laws)to put humanity UNDER THE LAW AGAIN.

THE LAW IS DEAD! We now live under GRACE---PRACTICE MERCY. DEMAND JUSTICE and WALK (LOVE) HUMBLY WITH GOD.

As for "rejecting" Jesus, by refusing to accept His TWO greatest commandments and to BELIEVE He is the fulfillment of the LAWS, what are we really rejecting?

They may have also voted her in because they believed she would ENFORCE and FOLLOW the law?

If so then they voted amiss. Her job is to issue government documents in accordance with the law to people who are qualified to obtain them. It is not to uphold orthodoxy -- not even the particular orthodoxy held to by the majority of the voters -- precisely because of what has happened here. She does not work for the Christian voters or the fundamentalist voters or the Apostolic voters ... but for ALL the voters. She is denying some of the voters government services. It doesn't matter why, it's unlawful to do that.

The valid basis to vote for a county clerk is her ability AND willingness to do the work of a clerk, not as described by religious dogma, but as described by law.

Also, don't forget that for whatever reasons she stopped issuing ANY marriage licenses, including those for heterosexual couples. Some of whom are doubtless against SSM themselves.

She was probably voted in because her mother had held the job before. In some areas, that's all the qualification she would need. I've seen it happen (in a county clerk job, no less).

The bizarre thing is that the usually bellicose, egoistic, ignorant and buffoonish Trump actually was the only Republican candidate to my knowledge with a rational response: "You have to go with the law on this". In fact other candidates (Jindal was one of them) took him to task about it.
