Of course not, nobody who posts here has any desire to actually learn or understand, just rationalize why God doesn't exist

A god-thing may exist. But it in no way would resemble the bumbling, psychotic narcissist in the bible.

Speak for yourself, perhaps, except to 'rationalize why (Bible)God Must exist". We provide the arguments and let people decide. We may sometime appeal to (hopefully relevant) Authority. But we don't just quote Chapter and Verse at people and expect them to just swallow it.

Never mind starting on the well -poisoning, finger - pointing and ad Hom. before the going even got tough.

Jesus was God incarnate, in full...you are exactly correct ...it was a 'show'.

Personally, if that 'show' was what it took for people to break their paper chains and feeeeeel as if,
believe they were now free to enter in Heaven...good job.
God had to step in and 'do something' to stop people from stoning adulterers already!!

At least people stopped and 'tried' to be forgiving and loving instead....that alone makes Jesus so great...
He changed the entire paradigm from, say, stoning sinners and shunning outsiders to loving them.
He changed (for me) a life of worry and fear about daily life with mortgage, insurance, car repairs,
health to a life of freedom and success just by following what he said to do.

*Comments that: not all DO what he said... will be unnecessary because we all know
about the Crusades and Inquisition...the ignorant will always do ignorant acts.

But, those that do what Jesus advised know they were saved from a life
of turmoils and emotional bondage.

(Examples: Give him your burdens, do not worry, care not for your food and shelter,
Ask believe and receive,
be anxious for nothing, focus on the things above, know that when you approach God he hears you ...
BELIEVE)
Yeah, whether it was a man named Jesus or some sort of move forward and away from the "we must appease an angry God who condemns sinners" mindset (however incremental that move was) in the consciousness of a group of people, something happened in that time and place that I am extremely grateful for.

There is one good thing about christianity -- it's great exercise for enhancing one's imagination.

As usual AWK, you do not get my point.
I explained, "What Is So Great About Jesus"...and also explained that that the hocus-pocus stuff noted in the OP was just embellishment by the Bible writers to big him up to some "super-magical" thing, that he (nor anyone else) was not.
He didn't need juicing-up...he was obviously "all that" compared to everyone else anyway, as it has turned out.

When you look back just through this thread, the things they make up to justify their opinions...things they couldn't possibly know...it's amazing.
