Actually, that's not true. The truth is that for the last two decades religious beliefs are increasingly being legislated out of the laws of this land. Like no more prayers allowed in our schools, no 10 commandments displayed in the courthouses, etc. What religous law of the land are you being forced to follow?

First of all, prayer should not be in public schools, nor should the ten commandments... Separation of Church and State, that protects you and I.

The religious right has made a concerted effort in recent years to push for Bible based laws or to block the repeal of same.

They invoke 'their' God in all things political.

How would you feel if the Muslims had that much political clout. Or, say, the Satanists.

That is why the founding fathers wanted to keep the government out of religion.
