I have a 9 year old nephew. I can't imagine family members getting that news. Just awful.

It is incredibly sad how in just a few short minutes, hundreds of people’s lives (the victims, their families, their friends) have been unalterably ruined. There aren’t words adequate to express the sense of loss in this situation.

Uvalde isn't "just outside" San Antonio but that doesn't really matter. Very sad what happened. I feel pretty depressed ever since I heard this news.

Here we go again. Politicians will offer thoughts and prayers and nothing happens. Last two were 18, you need to be 21 to buy a pack of cigarettes but no problem getting a high capacity weapon. This must end and the solution is not more guns.

Politicians actually are repeating the same BS: we have to make sure that will never happen again.

...then it happens.
Again, and again.

Latest count:
Texas school shooting kills 18 children, 3 adults.

Latest excuse stated by the news:
Covid.

Strange that nobody is giving the number of wounded.

It's not, but it's to give people from outside of the area a reference point. San Antonio is the closest largest city.

The general area (South and Central Texas) has five of the top 12 deadliest mass shootings in US history with Sutherland Springs church shooting, Ford Hood shooting, Killeen Luby's Shooting, University of Texas tower shooting and now this one.
