Diva,

Now that it sounds like you are definitely going to move out here and have a free place to stay indefinitely. I'm definitely rooting for you.

I saw this today and thought of you. I didn't realize Cleveland was so "miserable". It was just ranked in Forbes Magazine as "One of American's Most Miserable Cities". So looks like you're in good company high tailing out of Cleveland. Good luck.

Even worse, I think she's from Youngstown. If you think Cleveland is bad, Youngstown makes it look like heaven.

Yeah I didn't remember it being that bad. But man being compared to Detroit or Flint is NEVER good.

it's a recruiter for a company called UTAS Aerospace.

haha I am from Youngstown-- one of america's most dangerous cities and definitely makes Cle look like heaven. Cleveland actually is the only part of NE Ohio that has any amount of happiness, as measured by a study I just read last week. If I can find it again, I'll post it. Everything was in red in Ohio, except Cleveland.

here's another one I read 5 months ago:
The 10 Happiest (and Saddest) Cities in the U.S. - CBS News

Definitely not crazy for high tailing it outta here!

Cleveland is like an oasis to a Youngstownian. Weather sucks but they have some vegan restaurants, a trader joes, a booming nightlife (which is the equivalent of what you'd see in North Park-- small for CA standards but AMAZINGLY HUGE for someone who's downtown/nightlife consists of 8 bars within a block in the city)...still, Cle may be better than Ytown, but nothing compared to SD. My best friend actually lives there and her 2 bedroom is 950/month (in CLEVELAND?!?!) I'd much rather pay 1200$ and be within 15 mins of the beach. Just can't take the cold anymore...

Yikes. I've never been to Youngstown but it truly sounds depressing! Good luck with the interviews.

I know, you told me. I didn't want to reveal semi-personal information to everyone. =)

And now that you have told everyone that you live in Youngstown, I defy anyone to tell you moving isn't a good idea. =)
