I don't understand why Oakland is such a high priority in your life? Yes, there is too much crime. Nobody is arguing with you. What is your end goal? Honestly, you sound like you regret your move and are unable to move on. Sorry that Orlando is not what you hoped it would be but you need to move on. You don't live here anymore. Move on. Again, move on... Not sure if I am being obvious enough for you. I am not defending Oakland. It has way too many problems for me. Am. I. being. clear. to. you. I cannot be more clear. If you are mentally deficient then ask your handler. I wish you happiness in your NEW life. MOVE ON. MOVE ON. MOVE ON... Hope that helps!!!

It's not just "Oakland pumpers" who believe you are wrong about Oakland. national publications like the New York Times, Travel & Leisure, The Wall Street Journal, New York Magazine,National Geographic Traveler. Seattle times ,los Angeles times ,bon appetite, Washington post,Boston globe,Bloomberg ,the guardian (U.K.) and more have commented on the redevelopment and Renaissance occurring in Oakland.

Oakland has the hottest housing market in the country. People engage in bidding wars and pay 30-40% over asking.

You also seem to believe that crime is uniform throughout the city. You would never argue that presidio heights has the same amount of crime as Bayview hunters point. Yet it somehow logical that Claremont pines has the same crime as east Oakland
115 Alpine terrace in Oakland sold for $3.4 million this month. Oakland does have some undesirable and high crime areas but also some low crime and extremely desirable areas. This home is in one of many low crime and desirable neighborhoods

the incredible amounts of redevelopment and gentrification occurring in Oakland Is well documented yet you cannot acknowledge the changes that have occurred in Oakland.why is that?

I think you might need some professional help, no joke, especially the part at the end, you are seriously losing your sanity hahaha oh my goodness!

1) How am I making Oakland a high priority of my life? By giving my opinion on an online forum every once in awhile? I don't have an end goal, I'm giving my two cents on a forum. I'm sorry, but there is no right or wrong answer when it comes to someone's opinion. I know people like you believe everyone has to act and believe the same exact thing, but sorry we live in America, we can have different opinions.

2) How does it sound like I'm hung up on Oakland? First, I've never lived in Oakland. Second, I've never liked Oakland. Regulars on this forum have seen me for many years on the San Francisco forum, way before you started posting regularly. They can tell you that I have had many, many, many debates with "the Oakland Cheerleaders" about San Francisco vs Oakland. This was way before I moved lol. What is it with you and all the deflections? You don't like Oakland, so you must be a racist. Oh wait, you like Atlanta which is more Black, ok well you don't like it because you regret moving, oh wait you never lived in Oakland and you didn't like Oakland even before you moved, ummmm you don't like Oakland because ummm, ummmm... seriously, can you just understand it's my personal opinion lol.

3) I've spent a good chunk of my life in San Francisco and have posted thousands of times in this forum, so why would I go from posting every day to never visiting the forum ever again? I checked SFGATE every day, so why would I stop after I moved? I had friends that I spoke to every day, so why would I stop after I moved? I visited this forum every day, so why would I stop after I moved? From the sound of it, it seems you are either very young or very narrow minded... maybe both. I think it would do you justice to travel a bit or even try living in another city, state or country at least once in your life. I've lived in 8 cities so far and I'm only 29 years old.

When you move from a city, it doesn't mean you have to cut all ties. It's not like a relationship. It's a part of you because the time you spent there had an influence on who you are now. Unless something really horrible happened, there is no reason to block out a city you spent years living in. Once again, I've never lived in Oakland, nor have I ever liked it, but for the sake of argument I thought I'd explain it a bit more just for you lol.

Yeah and the level of trolling that goes on is even more hilarious.

Q: What response are you looking for by creating and posting bizarre and quite frankly, rude, things like this?:

Unfortunately, to me your posts are euphimistic and are really comments about Black people which is unfortunate but that's just my opinion.

And that's not a personal attack, just an observation.

1) Read the post before it, I was simply posting the meme he asked you to look up

2) Are we really back to me hating Black people. I thought we covered this when I was defending Atlanta as one of the best major cities in the country. Using your logic, most of the members here from Atlanta are racist for talking down about Atlanta given that the vast majority of the population there is Black, much more than Oakland.

3) I've never seen such defensiveness from people on any forum on city-data. Is it because Oakland is the butt of most jokes when it comes to crime and rioting in the country, so you are all at your boiling points now when someone says San Jose's downtown is safer or looks nicer than Oakland's downtown? I don't get it.

Nothing to say now huh lol, typical. I know you are obsessed with me, but if you really want to know anything else, how about get over me and learn there is nothing you can say to change someone's taste or opinion. I know I'm wonderful, but there is a "ignore list" feature on city-data. It might help your overall health by using it.

It's just that you appear to be posting the same thing over and over again and I'm just informing you that your points have been received by all.

No need to get salty.

lol the same can be said to you.

We all know you like Oakland, therefore using your own argument, should you never express your opinion on Oakland again?

Do you see how silly you sound? However, by all means, I'll take you up on your suggestion if you are serious. If you never say another good thing about Oakland, then I will never say another bad thing about Oakland.

If not, then stop being a hypocrite feeling entitled to continue saying your same opinion, while trying to block mine simply because we disagree lol.
