I agree with you. I can't stand Seattle. Other than it's very wholesome to raise children. I posted a post on here...why is it so boring here and everyone through rocks at me. I agree, people are rude. Everyone has there own opinions. It doesn't mean your a negative person just because you don't like a certain place....Geez.. Relax people and don't take things so personal. People are so on the attack if someone doesn't like exactly what they do...

Actually, now that I think about it, its like living in a giant middle school. Its a weird vibe that I think can start to drain people/ suck them of their individuality and even mistrust one another. I think a lot of this antisocial crap here stems from the fact that there is no real point to get to know other people if you have every single person around you figured out already because you are essentially the EXACT same person as them or at least aspiring to fit in the EXACT same way. You don't see it as much outside of Seattle, but within the city it is almost like Zombieland. Maybe I'm totally off base, but this is the vibe I get living in the heart of it all.
seems to be a good point...thoughts people?

I don't know what the person you quoted is talking about. Living in Seattle for as long as I have, I've met so many people who have moved here from all over the country and all over the world, interesting individuals with unique stories that brought them here. Seattle may not be NYC or London, but it still gets a lot of transplants. "Essentially the EXACT same person" as everyone else? Jeez, get out and actually talk to people.

I've lived a traveled decent bit around the country and the world, and if you think Seattle rates high on the list of places where people are pressured to conform, I suggest getting around more.

Now everyone is just an REI-clad, craft beer drinking, organic food-centric, Caucasian, liberal "individual". Yeah right, individual my ass...
Sounds kinda like parts of California. Are you sure you were in Seattle? If it was raining, it was Seattle.

I agree... Seattle sucks! This is why I'm moving to Seattle.... I'm coming to save you all. I hope you are all ready for change. As soon as I move in I will be implementing this new schedule city wide:

Martini Monday's.
Taco Tuesday's - Gotta get your Margarita on!
Wine Wednesday's - Self explanatory
Thursdays we all go hiking to prepare for the weekend of debauchery
Freaky Friday's (We all go to the clubs and get our groove on)
Sinful Saturday's (we all realized what we did Friday night and MUST outdo it just to prove we can)
Sunday Funday's - We all go out to brunch and attempt at curing hangovers by drinking more.

If you have kids that is totally fine. We can send them to babysitting in a group at a giant auditorium or let them run loose in a museum.

If your really not up for change then I suggest you move. David's coming to town and I'm not taking no for an answer.... WE WILL HAVE FUN!
