LOL!! Y'all are cracking me up.....I was in Alpine all of last week, and both the housing prices AND property taxes are out of sight! Ouch!! It's high there even for Texas!

But it sure was good to be back in Texas for awhile................

Okay - get ready for the shock - for the 4.5 acres I have in what is considered rural area (about 80 miles west of Boston nearer to Springfield) it costs me a little over $3,000 per year - and for what I'm not really sure -lol! No water, sewage, trash p/u included in that figure.

Hey Steve I am doing fine just been busy on my place. I am off the grid now and on my own power. I was having problems, but thanks to Brie and her friend I think I have the problem solved. Hope to see you out this way soon. Talk to you later and thanks for asking about me. Have you started getting the cold weather and snow yet?

Bob

So glad to hear you're doing good Bob - always worry when you dont hear from friends in a while.
The missus and I will be out there on 12/2 till 12/6 so we hope to meet up with you or maybe stop by and see your place this time around.
And yes the weather has started to turn - it was a balmy 28 degrees when I left for work at 5 am this morning!! Only 2 and 1/2 years to go with any luck till Im out there full time.

Using google maps, the Cornudas area and Dell City are about 1/2 an hour apart.

For those of you that know the area, which do you prefer?

Dell City has grocery stores, schools, and library. Cornudas is a resturaunt (with the worlds greatest burgers). So it's up to you which you would prefer. Half way between is my vote
