I think there is a very simple answer to the original question posed by this thread:

A: Because she is being very actively "unofficially" investigated.
I believe that authorities will announce an official investigation to the media/public once more evidence has been uncovered during the "unofficial" investigation.
I don't understand why she isn't being investigated. Why are the police taking her word for everything? We have all heard of other teenagers murdering their family before? Why is Hannah any different than other people that had to be investigated? Especially since she acts so abnormal. And how about that instagram photo, with the "bye hollywood" "bye malibu" and "hello river" hashtags? What about her lack of emotion? I just don't get it at all.
I believe that she murdered her mom and brother, and that Dimaggio came to her "rescue" and tried to cover for her. Or that they planned it together. I hope she is investigated fully.

Good grief... cat throwing? smirking-thug selfies? hair flips and blank eyes on the TV interview?
Seems she is a person devoid of feeling, emotion and entirely wrapped up in herself. Wonder if, when she returns to school, she will have a bevy of adoring followers who admire how "strong" she is... which will feed her "all about me" attitude.
